Glamping is a brand new idea of camping and vacation in general. If you have ever enjoyed a summer camp, you will have great memories of that time. Now that glamping sites exist, you can relive those memories again and again, but without sleeping on the floor, as you will enjoy complete luxury while being in direct contact with nature.
The main thing of these accommodations, despite the luxury and comfort, is the location. What is a better way to enjoy nature than on a glamping site in Catalonia? Whether by the sea or inland, the area has plenty of unique and beautiful places and landscapes that you will love to explore.
If you have not yet experienced a glamping holiday with Senia, we invite you to give it a try. And to help you decide, we've put together a list of the best glamping sites in Catalonia. By the way, if you know one that is not listed, we would like to know!
5. Glamping Tent in the middle of the mountains
On the fifth position we have chosen the Glamping Tent in the area of Osona (Barcelona) just a few minutes away from the medieval village of "Rupit", where you will find Campsite Rupit. We must highlight the environment, the spectacular nature that surrounds the campsite, full of pine trees, where you wake up every morning by the singing of the birds. For some reason there are also some cute bunnies living on the campsite. The location is perfect for those who enjoy walking, as you can start various routes from the village where you can enjoy all that beautiful nature. (+ Information)
About the accommodation, it looks like a simple tent from the outside, but it is completely made of wood inside. A nice rustic cozy style.
4. Glamping Safari in the heart of the Costa Brava
This glamping site in Catalonia is located in the heart of the Costa Brava, at Campsite Cala Gogo. It is perhaps one of the largest and most famous in the whole area, but despite that, it is located in a quiet part of the campsite, on the highest part of the hill. The best thing about this tent is undoubtedly the terrace and the panoramic view over the Mediterranean Sea. Here you will be amazed every evening by the sunsets that Catalonia gives us.
Inside, the glamping is a huge accommodation, entirely made of wood, which gives it a rustic look and makes it cosy. One of the rooms is hidden as a small attic room and the tent has a total capacity of up to 6 people.
The kids will love it! You will also find a swimming pool with Jacuzzi and a Chill Out restaurant nearby.
3. Glamping in Cala Canyelles
In third position we have Cala Canyelles. If you don't know this place yet, it's time to discover one of the most impressive natural areas on the Costa Brava. Located between Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, "Cala Canyelles" has its glamping site on top of the hill, among pines and oaks, offering a unique view of the sea, creating this amazing combination of green and blue.
The accommodation has a lot of space and luxury, it even has a dishwasher and XXL shower.
2. Glamping Loft on the seafront
We are now going to Barcelona, a very famous area for its long golden sandy beaches. On one of these coasts we find campsite Caballo de Mar, and there an impressive two-floor accommodation, Glamping Loft Plus AC. On the ground floor, it has a large terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a bathroom and a bedroom with a single bed and a bunk bed. Going up stairs, we find a large attic with a double bed. The Glamping is made of wood on the inside, which gives it a rustic look and makes it attractive.
No detail is missing! As mentioned before, the main thins is not the glamping, it's the place, which is why it owes its second position in our ranking due to its location. It is located right in front of the beach, just a few meters from the sea. So you can bathe in the sea just a stone's throw away from this beautiful Glamping.
1. Glamping Loft Plus on the riverside
As the best glamping in Catalonia, we have chosen Glamping Plus, in Sant Pere Pescador. The property is located on the banks of the River Fluvia, which passes through the pretty village of Sant Pere Pescador (Alt Emporda). There is even a pier on site where you can moor your boat, right next to this glamping site. Like the Loft in Caballo de Mar, it has two floors, but in this case the loft has a bedroom with 4 beds and there is a double bed on the ground floor.
Once again, the magic and charm of this glamping lies in its setting, as it is located right next to the Aiguamolls de l'Emporda Natural Park, a place known for its flora, fauna and marshes.
We hope we've helped you decide, and if you happen to visit any of these places, we'd love to hear about your experiences in this beautiful and fascinating world of glamping.
