Cultural Tourism
In Rupit you can feel past times, a time that is reflected in each of its monuments, most of them remain still in perfect condition. If you have the opportunity, we advise you to visit each of these spots:
- Church of San Miguel: This is a Romanesque building dating from the 13th century. However, in the 16th century the Baroque style church was built with some neoclassical elements. The church is located in the centre of the village.
- Streets of Rupit: As we have mentioned previously, when you walk through Rupit it is as if you were walking through the 16th century. Its houses, streets and alleys are kept as they were. Without a doubt, it is a magical place that you must visit if you have the opportunity
- Hermitage of Santa Magdalena: It is located on the outskirts of the village, on a rocky hill and from where the entire village can be seen. The construction did start in 1660 although it is a mystery, as there’s no more news about it since then.
