Krka National Park
The Krka National Park is a vast and mostly unspoiled area of exceptional natural value, characterized by preserved or minimally altered ecosystems. The park is primarily dedicated to scientific, cultural, educational, and recreational purposes, with tourism activities introduced to allow visitors to discover its unique beauty.
The Krka River, including the submerged section at its mouth, stretches for 72.5 km, making it the 22nd longest river in Croatia. Its source is located at the foothills of the Dinara mountain range, 2.5 km northeast of Knin. With its seven waterfalls and a total drop of 242 meters, the Krka River is a remarkable natural and karst phenomenon.
The travertine waterfalls of the Krka River are the most spectacular feature of this region, offering an extraordinary display that unites nature and geology. It is an unmissable destination for immersing yourself in Croatia's beauty and experiencing the magic of its unspoiled landscapes.
