Children's favorite campsites

Going camping is an ideal formula when traveling with children. Restaurants, swimming pools, slides, supermarkets, playgrounds, entertainment with other children... you have everything at hand to enjoy a fun holiday for the little ones in the house.

Now, it's not enough for us to tell you: although when we grow up we feel like children at a campsite again, we are interested in knowing the opinion of real children.

That is why we have taken advantage of the visit of our colleagues from Sunvan, a camper van rental company from Pallejà, Barcelona, to interview the first interested parties. Sunvan is a company managed by a family made up of Ana and Jonatan, and the little ones Helder and Alma who follow them on all their adventures. What happens in the children's heads when they come to Campings Sènia? Let's find out!

Marion: Hey guys, how are you? Can you introduce yourself?
Helder: Hello, very good. I am Helder, I am 10 years old, and this is my sister Alma, she is 2 years old.

M: Very good! Thank you for answering our questions, we would really like to know how your experience has been in our campsites. Have you been to many campsites already? What do you think of what you have seen?
H: Well, we all liked it a lot, but for me the favorite was Cala Gogo because I made a lot of friends.

M: Sure, I understand you! Friends are a big part of vacations. And what do you prefer about the camping? The pools, the activities...?
H: Yes, I loved it, at the Cala Gogo campsite. I jumped down a slide that made turns. At the last minute my father tried to jump but he was already closed… surely he wanted to go late on purpose. In this campsite there were about 6 swimming pools, the best without a doubt... the one with the slides!

At the Caballo de Mar campsite I also really liked the pool with the giant whale, reeaal size! And it also has an area where jets come out everywhere hehe, full of animals, and waterfalls.

But what I prefer about campsites is that there are other children! And that they be kind and let me play, of course. And then with the activities I had a great time and I made many friends with preparing a snack for the mascot Senia , it was her birthday.

M: Great! So you saw the mascot Seni?

H: At the Canyelles campsite I didn't get to see him because we stayed less time and I was with my sister playing in the pool, but in Cala Gogo we did see Seni!

The first day we couldn't see her and we were looking for her: in the swimming pool, the supermarket, the soccer field, the mini disco... But some children told me in French that she was on the tennis court and how she got from here to there, we did not see it.

At the end of the second day we met the mascot Seni at the foam party, and I had a great time! My mother almost drowned in the foam hehe, and there was so much that I lost my father for a moment! He touched my back and we met.

The third day was Seni's birthday, and we did an activity of going to look for her throughout the campsite. She was already found by other children, she was in the beach area. Then she invited us for her birthday snack.

M: Great, you haven't stopped! I understand that you made friends?
H: Yes, in the pool I made friends who spoke French and Spanish. They were very nice, we played tag in the pool. And at the camping karaoke activity at night, I also made friends. They said with an accent: Heeeeey macagena aaahi!

M: Sure, it's that many children from other countries come to our campsites. It's great that you have become friends. What else did you do, have you played any sports?
H: Yes, I played soccer and tennis at Camping Cala Gogo. My mother lost a lot of balls. Well, and I lost five too. And I don't know if it's a sport but we also played pool and the arcade machines.

At Camping Rupit we went by bike along some paths that there were with Roger, a friend I made there, my parents also came with my sister, it was a lot of fun.

And at the Tucan campsite we played volleyball and did archery, it was incredible, I hit the center twice! And my father not one.

M: Very well, what aim! And on the plot or in your camper, did you do any family activities? How about with your sister, have you played a lot with her, when the adults cooked for example?
H: Yes, we have played bubbles, Parcheesi, we have prepared squeezed juice, and my sister ate the fruit without squeezing it lol. We have also played water fight with guns and my mother could not see with wet glasses. And with the scooters, my sister loves her skateboard, which she calls patinmono! Since it was hilly outside the plot, we rode alone until we picked up a bit of speed, but my father told us to slow down.

And while they were cooking, we did everything. At Camping Riu we went to the restaurant and we had lunch on the plot. At the campsites, I liked the food in the restaurants a lot, but at night, my father cooked. While the meat was cooking, we connected the mobile to the Wi-Fi network, and my sister and I were watching videos of Pocoyo. And at breakfast I read a bit of the Fortnite book “Trapped in Battle Royale”.

M: Well, I see you haven't had time for boredom. What do you think, what would you do to have an even better time next time?
H: I wanted my friend Gerard and Luis from school to come. We would have had a great time, gosh! Hopefully next year we can return and all the families can go.

M: Sure, we hope to see you together again soon! And you, parents, what did you like the most about this experience with children at Campings Sènia?
A&J: The truth is, we as parents have been delighted. All the Sènia campsites are worth going to, whether you have children aged 2 or 10 or 15. In fact, the ideal is to be able to go to all the campsites on the same vacation or almost all of them.

We took a large camper and went to 5 of the campsites in 2 weeks and each campsite has something special. Different people, also very focused on a good experience with children. We were very happy to find paddling pools that actually have a very shallow depth, which is perfect even for babies.

They also have areas and activities designed for adults, do not think that it is 100% children, they have a Chill Out area, restaurant terraces, fitness rooms...

We will surely return next year, at Camping Caballo de Mar. We made friends with a very nice couple our age, with children, and Alma had an incredible time with Felipe, one of her 3-year-old children. We have already booked for next season!

M: Thank you very much for taking some time during your holidays to answer us, guys, it has been a pleasure!
A&J: Thank you very much Marion for giving us this experience with your campsites.

With this it seems to us that they have summed it all up: for many the essence of camping lies in having a good time with the family, away from the worries of everyday life, and meeting new people, who can become friends for life.

Helder, Alma, Jonatan and Ana, with this tour of our campsites that they have made, they prepared a route that you can also follow. You can find their instructions for renting a campervan and going on a family camping route with children, on their website: they explain everything, from the campsites where to go to ideas of activities in the area.

They also took advantage of the experience to talk to the children about their experience in a camper: there you can find their opinion and some advice if you are still not comfortable with the idea of going on a camper route with children. Don't worry, they will surely love it.

As we always say, the important thing when you go camping with children is to spend time together and create memories for a lifetime!
