These holidays we invite you to discover a piece of culture around the campsite. Sènia Cala Gogo Internacional is very close to Palamós, a traditional fishing village whose economy is still closely linked to the waters and port, an international port.
In the same harbor you will find the Fishing Museum, made up of different structures:
-
a permanent exhibition in the main building of the museum,
-
the Espai del Peix located in the fish market,
-
the fishing boats, which are royal ships moored in the harbour,
-
a documentation center called Documare,
-
and the headquarterof Maritime Studies established by the University of Girona and the Town Hall of Palamós.
With so many branches, little ones and adults will both have a lot to explore. You can visit the permanent exhibition every day of the week for a very affordable price (€5, €2.50 for children under 16 and free for children under 6). You can also book a ticket to attend a fish auction, a very interesting show or one of the various activities that the museum offers throughout the year: tour with tasting of the Gamba de Palamós, guided visit to the Fishing boats, show cooking to eat fish with the family, route through the port of Palamós, cooking workshop for small chefs, conferences...
We therefore recommend that you take one day of your holiday to visit Palamós and the Fishing Museum.
